Hi, I'm Lukas!

I'm a student in computational neuroscience at the University of Freiburg, Germany. My passion is the science of complex systems and networks and the mysterious concepts of self-organization and emergence, whatever that might actually be.
At the moment, the brain is the complex system I am studying, but I get equally excited about the functioning of ant colonies, electricity grids, social networks, transport systems, etc.

I'm also really into the outdoors and love to go hiking, climbing, trail running, road cycling, swimming, and of course: extreme ironing.

This website gives you an overview of my past and current adventures in science. Have a look around and see if you can find something interesting!
